Highlights – Taliesin East, Unitarian Meeting House, Farewell Dinner

Full Day Tour

This morning we travel to Taliesin East which is acknowledged as the embodiment of American architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s commitment to the creation of exceptional environments that harmonise architecture, art, culture, and the land.

It is the name of Wright’s home as well as the 800-acre architectural campus that includes buildings from nearly every decade of his career. Taliesin was Wright’s primary residence for 48 years from 1911 to 1959. It was his laboratory for architectural designs and innovation.

We’ll take a comprehensive tour including an interior and exterior tour of 3 buildings on the estate, a 2km hike that gives you an exterior view of Midway Barn, Romeo & Juliet Windmill and then on to the landscape walk as we head to Mr. Wright’s home. A light refreshment is offered on Mr. Wright’s terrace once you arrive at the house.

In the afternoon we visit the Unitarian Meeting House, designed by Wright and recognised as one of the most innovative examples of church architecture.

Farewell Dinner

This evening we’ll have a group dinner at one of Madison’s finest restaurants.
